If you’ve had any personal communication with me over the last few months, you know its been a crazy summer for the Hallahans. With my impromtu trip to California in June, a week working at summer camp with the whole family in July, immediately followed by a week heading up the preschool Vacation Bible School at our church, then a week at my parents while Dave took our youth group on a missions trip to Boston, finally ending with a leadership conference in Lancaster, PA, we settled back into our home last week for what felt like the first time all summer. Man, just writing that paragraph makes me sleepy.
Everybody loves a good DIY. Today’s post is short and sweet, but super easy and fun!
Can you guys believe its the end of August already? It’s been a crazy summer, but this cool weather has me feeling like these last summer days are being ripped away from me too quickly! It’s like fall is here already- and I’m in big time denial.
My husband and I are definitely “book people.” We love reading books. Never do we not have a stack of books next to our bed ready and waiting to be read. We’re a bit picky however, in that we like to actually have the physical copy of the book. Neither of us have e-readers or read any sort of books on our phones. To us, there’s something about holding books in our hands and turning the actual pages that brings us joy. As a decorator, I’ve developed a habit of buying not just good reads, but books that are pretty on the outside, and I can use to stage or style a home. Below are a few different places in your home it is good to have books, especially pretty ones.
