Earlier in the year I shared how painting our kitchen was on our 2018 bucket list. Well, spring break from school landed me with ten days off and tons of motivation to get things moving. In case you haven’t seen it before, here is our teeny, tiny kitchen before we painted:
Why is it that I can literally watch this show anytime it’s on even though I’ve seen the episode (any episode) at least 7 times already? Friends is the ultimate veg-out tv show for me. If there’s nothing else to watch, I watch Friends. If my husband is away for the the night, I watch Friends. If I just watched a scary show or movie, I have to watch an episode of Friends. If I have nothing left to give after a long day or week and my brain power is utterly depleted, Friends it is.

One of my favorite styles lately is this “California casual” style I’ve been seeing all over the place. Emily Henderson has been posting a lot about how to get this effortless look in your homes on her blog. It’s fresh, bright and put together, but very comfortable and inviting at the same time. I had the opportunity a few weeks ago to not just use this style in a room, but actually go to California to create it. My cousin Ronnie, who is actually closer to my dad’s age, has been talking with me for awhile about helping him out with his house in Davis, California.
