I just love this time of year. There’s so much excitement and anticipation in the air. Holiday parties, making cookies, wrapping presents, and LOTS of shopping! But if you’re anything like me, you might be feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the holiday gift guides out there, and stressed out by the money you’re shelling this time of year. For all of my budget conscious readers out there, I’m here to give you a few tips on how to save money this holiday season, while still making the most out of this magical and precious holiday.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but sometimes in the craziness of life, weeks and months seem to get filled up and fly by without much quality time spent with friends and family. What used to be hanging out every weekend when we were single or newly married, is basically a couple times a year now that many of us have children of our own. We have one group of friends in particular who are pretty much zero maintenance- meaning no one really cares if our homes are spotless when we visit, and eating dinner together usually means ordering pizza or wings.
If you read last week’s guest post, I featured entrepreneur and blogger Melissa Bowens and her company “When Life.” Well, to spin-off of the the old saying that inspired her mission, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade,” I’d like to give you my own version of this motto:
“When pregnancy gives you crazy organizational nesting energy, make an online course.”
I LOVE organization.
Pregnancy has possibly led me to an obsession-level love of organization.
There’s nothing that makes me happier than when my home is organized. As an interior decorator, I can go on and on about the emotional side of your home and what this place means to me and my family. But functionally speaking, I want this place to run like a factory, as cold and heartless as that sounds.
