Is there anyone out there that doesn’t love this time of year? Honestly. There’s just something so magical about December. The smell of eminent snow in the air, the warm glow of lights that adorn the homes you normally would pass by without noticing, and the excitement of holiday preparations that we so carefully plan for months in advance.
I LOVE organization.
Pregnancy has possibly led me to an obsession-level love of organization.
There’s nothing that makes me happier than when my home is organized. As an interior decorator, I can go on and on about the emotional side of your home and what this place means to me and my family. But functionally speaking, I want this place to run like a factory, as cold and heartless as that sounds.
I can’t believe we are only a few weeks out from having another human live in our house. Just like the last one, this baby doesn’t go through any sort of interview process or application to take up residence in our home. She’s going to move-in and be a part of our family whether we like her or not.
As of this past October, I have joined the many lucky entrepreneurs who have decided to go out on their own to follow their passions and create their own business. While this comes with its share of fears, sleepless nights and nearly daily reminders that
“Failure is not the opposite of success, it is part of success, blah blah blah”
and many other sayings like it, this venture on your own also comes with an abundance of blessings. One of mine being the opportunity to work from home.
